Staff and Training

Before being considered for a position working for Guardian Angel Daycare and the Diocese of Salt Lake, all candidates are required to pass a background check, complete Safe Environment Training, have appropriate immunizations, a yearly Flu Shot, be CPR and First Aid certified, as well as having completed the State Food Handling course. All staff possess differing levels of training, education, and administrative skills. Each year employees are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education in early child development.

  • Part-Time Cleaning: The Skaggs Catholic Center is looking to fill two part time cleaning positions. The jobs are Monday-Friday from 6:00-9:45. The pay range is from $8.00 to $9.00. These positions will start as soon as possible.

  • 7th Grade Chemistry Teacher
    SJBMS is seeking a qualified, professional chemistry teacher to join our team for the 2017-2018 school year.   • Orchestra Director
    The Skaggs Catholic Center schools are accepting applications for a part-time Orchestra Director for the 2017-2018 school year. Teaching responsibilities include the Juan Diego Catholic High School Orchestra, Saint John the Baptist Middle School Beginning and Intermediate orchestras, and the Saint John the Baptist Elementary School Orchestra Program.  Eligible candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Music Education and have classroom teaching, performing, and conducting experience. Applicants must also possess an understanding of Catholic values and a commitment to uphold them. Preferred candidates will have a Masters degree in their subject area, have the ability to teach across multiple subject disciplines, have at least two years teaching experience, and have expertise with Google G-Suite and the Moodle Learning Management System.

  • Custodial (multiple positions) - Immediate opening at the Skaggs Catholic Center for part time- 19 hours a week , and full time- 40 hours a week cleaning positions: We are seeking dependable and responsible persons to help clean the three schools and daycare on our campus.

    We offer a competitive hourly wage. Full time benefits include Medical, HSA offering, dental, life insurance, sick leave, personal leave, holiday leave, a 403(b) retirement saving plan, and 401(a) retirement plan.  Opportunities for overtime nearly every week.  

    These positions will consist of mostly light cleaning such as: vacuuming, dusting, glass, mopping, disinfecting touch surfaces, dusting and other forms of cleaning. Physically, the candidate must be able to lift 35 lbs. and move tables and chairs efficiently. The possibility of operating floor cleaning/buffing machines may also be required.

    Both the full time and part time are evening positions for five days per week, Monday through Friday generally. The schedule does vary a bit due to holidays, and special events hosted by the center. The full time hours are 3:00pm to 11:30pm, the preferred start time for the part time job is 6:00pm to 9:45pm, however, this could be negotiable.
